Golf courses in Hua Hin

Black Mountain Golf Club

Black Mountain is the 7th and newest golf course in Hua Hin and was transformed from lush jungle and pineapple plantations. The course is set in a valley, just next to the "Black Mountain’s", which are so named because of the large black rocks set into the mountains, providing a nice backdrop to many of the holes.

The golf course looks as natural as possible and maintains many of the original features of the site. The most important of these are the natural creeks that run throughout the course and the rocks that have been used as design features on many of the holes. Many of the original trees have been kept and many new trees have been planted to frame the holes.

Lake View Hotel & Golf Club

Inland through small farms & pineapple plantations Lake View is another example of the quality of Golf Courses in and around Hua Hin. The design of this championship course conveys a sense of adventure. Hidden greens, mature palm trees and well defined fairways are on offer throughout this course, and spot decisions have to be made from the opening hole, as potential problems lie ahead. Easy par's are on offer for those of us that want to take them. How adventurous are you feeling? This course also offers a test for courage and putting expertise.

Majestic Creek Country Club

The course is located 20 km from Hua Hin along a chain of hills in a natural environment. 27 holes offer 3 attractive Par 36. Majestic Creek is a perfect blend of an ambitious course with the environment. Almost all fairways got water hazards (small lakes or creeks) as well as several bunkers. For a good score, precise shots and good nerves are required. The large clubhouse is comfortable and got a good Thai restaurant.

Milford Paradise Golf Club & Resort

This course is constructed on the lower slopes of a mountain. Many of the fairways are very narrow, requiring great accuracy by even the best golfers amongst us. From several locations on the course, the scenery and views of the Gulf of Thailand are spectacular and with careful management this course could easily become one of the most beautiful and challenging golf courses in the Hua Hin area. However, the course overall is currently in very poor shape and requires a huge investment to bring it up to the standard expected by touring golfers. Though the clubhouse has recently undergone refurbishment, there is still a lot to be done regarding the lower level changing rooms etc. In the current condition, we do not recommend golf at Milford.

Palm Hills Golf Resort & Country Club

The rolling and undulating fairways of the golf course give Palm Hills a distinctive identity which is different from all the other courses in the area. The 18 holes are arranged in two distinctive nines, separated by the beautiful clubhouse and a rocky outcrop extending from the mountain range. The course runs from east to west, with lakes at each end. The greens can be fast with some very tricky burrows. While playing the second nine holes, players are rewarded with some breathtaking views of the Gulf of Thailand.

Royal Hua Hin Golf Club

Designed by a Scottish railway engineer, The 'Royal' opened in 1924 in the reign of King Rama VI. The Royal Hua Hin is the oldest par 72 courses in Thailand. Constructed around the base of a limestone mountain range, the course is covered in lush vegetation that clings to the edge of the rocky overhangs and boulders. Royal Hua Hin also has lovely views of Buddhist temples that are perched on the hillsides that blend into the dense foliage of the surrounding area. Located just behind the old railway station.

Springfield Royal Country Club

A Jack Nicklaus masterpiece, the 'East course' opened in 1993 and is the first 18 holes of a planned 36 holes. Designed and maintained to the highest international standards, it is recognized as one of the premier golfing resorts in Thailand and was the venue for the 2000 Thailand Open. The second Nicklaus designed 'West course' is planned for completion as future village neighbourhoods are developed. The course has been designed to meet the demands of championship golf, however it is an enjoyable challenge for golfers of all standards as each hole has a minimum of five tees to play from.
